25th anniversary of the beatification of Peter ToRot
The Celebration with Memorial Thanksgiving Masses of the 25th anniversary of the beatification of Peter ToRot as "Blessed" by St. Paul Paul 2 first happened at his home Parish Rakunai in the Archdiocese of Rabaul on the Friday 17th January 2020. The second was held at St Joseph's Parish Boroko, NCD in the Archdiocese of Port Moresby. The third will be held in Brisbane coordinated by Fr Paul Sireh O.Carm with the collaboration of the PNG and Chinese Associations living in Australia. They invithe Cardinal Sir John Ribat MSC to be the presider and their guest of honour. All in all this was a good opportunity to look back in the last 25 years to see and highlight what has happened in the faith life and spiritual growth in the life of thr Church especially that of our families, individuals and communities throughout PNGSI.
Blessed Peter ToRot - Catechist and Martyr inspires all the laity and especially the menfolks to rise up to their calling as males, men, husbands and fathers, Professionals and ordinary Christians to faithfully fulfill these roles in everday life. Holiness is for everyone and no one should be scared or afraid of holiness which is the touch of God and God's clsim on each one of us who are made and bear his image and likeness through the sacrament of Baptism.
